We'll just have to agree to disagree on this matter. I believe the appropriate force size for the attack and occupation would have been around 400,000 US troops with an additional 50 to 100,000 UN troops and peace keepers. I'm with the majority of military men on this.

You on the other hand think that Rumsfeld was right in using 130,000 troops. I disagree.

Also I believe a huge mistake was made in the disbanding of the Iraqi Army. We should have put every one of them on the payroll before the end of the first year.

Then once control of the country was assured, the transfer to the Iraqi forces would have been smoother.

The failure of attention to these matters cost additional loss of life, but probably saved some money.

Ok then, I'm done.
