FBN today confirmed that a rumor exists of a possible papal blessing early next week. Additional details of the rumor include the possible selection of FBN as the Y2K solution provider for the Roman Catholic IT network; a remarkable coup for this upstart company.

Seen here on their way to Rome, company officials were said to be, “...eager to perform the miracles of Y2K remediation,” from the FBN corporate jet as a symbolic gesture.

It is believed to be the first meeting ever between the Pope and a software development company; a potential counter-measure against the potential failure of corporations and governments to meet the Immovable Deadline. Says one software consultant, “Many people are wondering if the billions spent on fixing the millennium bug is money well spent. But why leave things to chance?”

Analysts praised the move noting The Vatican is an exemplary client for Y2K needs. Fear and hysteria are a driving force in this market, and 'tent evangelist' antics by FBN competitors cast doubt on an otherwise responsible industry. Also noted is the market for potential spinoff products such as FBN-Prayer2000™.
