Very few libertarians would argue that "children don't need to be educated".

Many of them would even support government funding for education. Some of those who do support government funding of education would even support having a public school system, but I suspect many of them would instead support some form of vouchers or government assistance.

Let's be frank--most rich people believe in libertarianism because they will be able to keep more of their income.

1 - What about non rich libertarians?

2 - The same thing could be said about any major political ideology or party. Many people support an idea because they see how it can benefit them. That doesn't make either the idea or all of its holders selfish. Many people support Democrats, Republicans, liberals, conservatives, libertarianism and/or the Libertarian party, or just about any other party or idea, or ideology that has many adherents, supporters or members, for self interested reasons. If we apply the same standard the you would apply to libertarianism than just about all ideologies and political parties are very selfish.
