House No. 8 - or 9 - near Broadway Road and Mill Avenue in Tempe could be the lucky one. The Kings' bid of $218,500 was accepted this month, and they are in escrow. The house has a small kitchen, low ceilings and no dining room, and it needs a garage door and coat of paint. But they are getting it for $19,000 under the asking price, a rarity considering they bid $10,000 more than the asking price on other homes and lost.

Something is going on. A couple, after months of trying to buy a house and being constantly outbid have finally had their offer accepted. Maybe the market is beginning to shift into a decline.

Could be similar to a situation where one is trying to bid on a thin stock which is moving up and hard to buy. Suddenly your bid is getting hit. The reason: IT IS GOING LOWER AND YOU ARE ABOUT TO LOSE MONEY.
