This demo charade has to end.

I saw a news clip the other day of Bush saying for the first time that the private accounts are an initiative separate from and not helpful to solving the insolvency problem. So at least half of the charade has ended. Hopefully the Dems will reciprocate and acknowledge the solvency problem.

The answer is simple:

1. Everybody agrees that SS has to be fixed.

2. You have to make it solvent.

3. Propose a restructure(s)

4. Select and adopt a new structure.

You can make SS solvent by increasing retirement age and taxing those making more than $90,000 a year.

The problem is not going away any other way.
