Actually, what I think would be rather cool is a turbine power-pak with a counter-rotating pair of helicopter blades that would attach to a set of mounting rails on the roof of one's Navigator or Escalade; ...no tail rotor required = NOTAR.

You could hook a fuel hose to a fitting on your back bumber, and have a fly-by-wire PC-&-Joytick that would sit on the center console for control.

If the rotors would fold back, like a SeaKnight on an aircraft carrier, you could leave the Heli-Pak attached all the time and just avoid low overheads.....

It would be kind of cool to rotor into the front yard of the 84th Aero Squadron restaurant for a burger and fries. ...And, that would be the end of traffic jams during rush hour.....
