I guess what I am getting at Grace, in a non religious way - is franklin and jefferson all the way up to JFK basically said things along the lines of that the nation or state or gubbment can give great foundations to the people and give them a great society to flourish in and live and pursue life and liberty and happiness, but if all the people do is take and take and take, and never give back - which in this regard is human capital - human capital required to keep that nation, state, and gubbment running - have these citizens not stolen the country for thier own selfish lives? Someone up the line chose to burden themselves to produce you and all the rest of us human capital, and we have a great society with many good things, but if all the breeders make the personal choice to stop breeding, how does the wonderful society survive? Should the government intervene if this is going to kill the society? Should we let a lot of good personal choices take us down the road of good intentions on the highway to decay? I guess it is a forest or trees Issue, if you have to deny liberties to a few trees to save the forest whose interest should be preserved? I don't know the answer, I pose the questions - what does the bible teach? Is it better to have children in defiance of your husbands wishes and multiply - or no?
