I think it was a mistake for republicans to take the issue on as well but the people who are against this aren't just the "religious right." The Mancow show is just such and example. I don't view this as a religious right show.

Yes and no.

Lets start with the no. No I don't think kids should starve but I think you've been rather cavalier about how death by starvation is painless. My understand is its an excruciating way to go regardless of what all the news articles based on this case say. If you search the topic its hard to find one that isn't making a statement about death by starvation based on how their op ed piece is writing about Terri.

Now for the yes part. In both cases we are talking about people who can't feed themselves. In Terri's case she is totally disabled and has even less say than a child has.

I don't think we can be sure about her wishes but I'm sure about mine.....I don't want to live that way.
