You need to get as much of a tan as you can before you go. When you get there sit out for about 20 - 30 minutes the first day and work your way up from there and use a good sunscreen. I know that doesn't sound like a long time, but trust me on this one - with your skin, you'd look like a piece of bacon in an hour. You don't want to spend your vacation rehabbing in the room. My buddy from Philly and his wife stopped in middle Georgia to see me one August on his way back from Fla. They stayed out of the sun, but she got sick to her stomach from the heat and humidity. To this day, she can't believe that people can actually survive down here! LOL! I guess it all depends on what you're used to.
