Look at the city budgets; the police and fire budgets are dwindling because they have no revenue. Look at state budgets; the schools are being starved for funds since the revenue of the states are also dwindling. These are the facts is it not. Why is the revenue going down. If people are employed to the level "you" think they are, then surely the revenues through things like payroll tax etc. would be high. During the Clinton years we did not have to talk about budgets since there was a steady flow into the treasuries. People had jobs, they paid into the Social Security, they paid their state and local taxes and the economy was booming.

Today, the economies of China and India are booming. This is first hand from those who have visited those countries. I bet you missed Dipy's post here where he said that many immigrants from India who had come here in search of economic prosperity are going back to India since they are being offered very good jobs there, not jobs which flip hamburgers but real jobs.

So don't carry forward the propaganda of bull shiters like Rush Limbaugh. See for yourself what is happening around you. Many of those unemployed have stopped looking, many have taken lower paying jobs like flipping hamburgers, inventory takers in stores etc. Now you are at liberty to kid yourself but do not try to kid us.
