well, I tend to be a bullish sort, and living in silicon valley I can see that things are really heating up now. I have thought all along that until innovation (aka "spark") comes back to TECHNOLOGY we as an economy and stock market are pretty much stuck in a funk. So now, business is back (it really is), and deals are getting done but the stock market is really sick, due to inflationary pressures and oil.

I'm stumped, because all my investing life I never had this oil dark cloud hanging overhead. The 70s had a bigger problem than oil in my view, and that was grossly inefficient US companies. Japan's stock market was on fire in the late 70s and they bought oil from the ME too. So I *think* we can have a good stock market even with some inflation, just because our companies are so efficient and innovative now. But geez as far as investing in the naz this year is concerned.... I wish I never woke up on 1/1/05.
