I disagree. You are in a good marriage, but it's faulty reasoning to generalize from yourself.

Marriages that are falling apart take very strange twists and turns. There's very rarely a bright line between "I do" and "I don't."

I get calls all the time from people who are thinking about divorce, and change their minds once they realize that financially things are not going to go the way they hoped.

Then there are the control freaks who would rather see the woman dead than let her go.

The judge in this case has a bad case of "blackrobeitis." He's sick of it, too, no doubt, and doesn't want to hear another word. That's obvious. Just let her die and get her out of his hair.
