Living in the Bay Area, I have a good number of friends and acquaintances from other countries: England, Canada, India, Pakistan, Russia, etc. Most are astounded by the level of support for Bush and the conservatives. They don't realize the effect of the constant campaign of indoctrination that goes on in this country, mostly in the mid-west and south. This campaign has finally come to fruition. These hard-core, indoctrinated Bush supporters would support him no matter how many blunders he stumbles through. The question is: when will the moderates finally wake up? Bush's poll numbers yesterday were the lowest of his presidency; apparently it took a vegetative woman in a hospice to open some eyes...
