Ish, if you read that story carefully, you will see that the Christian publication it is in created a headline that was not what Kay Adamson actually said in the text of the article. Nowhere did she say that not having food or water was excruciatingly painful physically. What she said is more that it was a very miserable and helpless experience to be able to hear people talking about her fate without being able to communicate. That is certainly not reputable journalism!

I saw Kay Adamson on Larry King one night last week, and her case is really different from Terry Schiavo's. She was not in a persistent vegetative state. I don't know if everyone understands in discussing this sad situation that Terry Schiavo has almost no brain activity. The part of her brain that regulates conscious awareness and almost everything that indicates life is present was totally destroyed.

Additionally, Kay Adamson is a shill for the right-to-life movement, but refused on the Larry King show to compare her brain function to Terri's. I didn't get the sense that she was really very ethical. She is trying to create similarities in their situations that don't actually exist to push a certain point of view, but I don't think she is very ethical in the way that she is doing it.
