The tree slaughter went well, took down the four, but my tree guy wanted me to take down a dead 3ft diameter 80-100' oak. I thought if it fell it wouldn't hit the house. He pointed out how it might. Since it was dead we couldn't climb up it and limb it. So we got a rope in a crouch half way up, winched it to another tree and sawed it from below. The ensuing crash was something, but this dead giant killed three 50-60 foot poplars, just wiped them out, blew them away root and all. So now someone has to plant 7 trees and I've got more spliting to do.
