Elroy. American soldiers and diplomats come in and out of Baghdad ariport all the time. No self-respecting American soldier would trust that job to any other allied trooper, much less and Iraqi soldier.

This implies that security can never be turned over to Iraqis as long as Americans want to fly to Baghdad. Is that what you meant to say?

So what's YOUR timeline for handing security responsibility for that road (which is part of the sovereign nation of Iraq) back to the Iraqis?

Don't give me the vague party line of "as long as it takes".....

I think you are getting delirious. Calm down and start thinking straight.

It shouldn't take more than there months to train an Iraqi to be a car checkpoint patrolman. We've been there for two years. That's as straight as straight gets.
