Let those budgetary consequences rule the world.

Nothing that I have said throughout this suggests that I think that cost should be a consideration in making life saving decisions. If others think that, that's on them, not me. I am coming at this from a perspective of self-determination. All "selves" are free to determine that they want to live or die irrespective of cost.

When I have discussed cost it has been in that context that, if we as a society opt to change the law to keep lots of people alive who would die under current law, we should cost it out and budget for it. It's irresponsible not to.
