dew,
You state...
"
gfp: If you want something mundane, there are hundreds of fine companies to chose from that do not have to rely on hand waving to explain their business model.

In my experience, when people invest in a company because they think it is solving a major societal problem --as TexasDude admits to doing— that can be a red flag.

You have previously stated here on SI that a penny biotech stock is one of your favorite stocks even though it is having financial difficulty, laid off 30% of their employees last year, delaying their drug development efforts because of their lack of money, submitting their drug for approval in Europe and not the US even though they are domiciled here in the US, had their drug hung up in Europe by one delay after another(latest just a few weeks ago even though it was filed for approval over a year ago, thus again causing them to admit they would have to move back their potential launch date) AND considering they are working on a drug that addresses THE MAJOR SOCIETAL PROBLEM OF MALARIA is this a case of you blowing smoke out of both ends? Help me out! Obviously you don't have a problem with mundane companies and societal driven issue solving companies for yourself, just other investors.

Congratulations on solving your personal "societal" problem of selective food consumption. Guess this means we can also take you off the potential list of the millions of Americans suffering from diabetes (and growing by about 10% a year).

And in closing on this issue of solving a societal issue, I can assure you that once you drive in an automobile or fly in a plane you will enjoy it. I bet you have worn out many a pair of shoes in all your walking...oops! Guess you don't wear shoes as you are so cautious of such "mundane" "societal" red flags like why shoes were invented.

Have a nice day!!!!
