It doesn't take long to train someone to be a cop, but those cops are getting killed left and right. What the Iraqi's need aren't cops. They need battle hardened troops to counter the insurgency. The single biggest reason why it's two years later and we're having trouble getting Iraqis to take our place is that ill-fated decision to disband the 200,000 strong Iraqi army. One mistake and it had huge consequences.

Be that as it may, the faint of heart (you) would throw your hands in the air, give up, and pull out, leaving the insurgents to win. Lucky for the rest of us Americans, Bush and friends aren't faint of heart. They'll stay until the job is done, even if it take 4 more years, and I'm glad for it.
