This link is more informative: dqi3.dataquest.com Dell's growth rate for the past year is 61.8 percent, the best of all computer manufacturers, according to Dataquest. Compaq, with the second highest growth rate is 42.0 percent. So we definitely have a winner here. Dell superseded Packard Bell in world-wide market share. Now only Compaq, IBM, and HP have greater market share, and HP's share is only .2 percent greater than Dell's. So Dell should surpass them shortly, if they haven't already. Dell is already number 3 in the U.S.
