Why don't they include a provision covering mechanical ventilation? Both artificial feeding and ventilation require highly trained technicians to supervise its application and monitoring. Both require highly specialized equipment. I think people have this impression that artificial feeding is a simple as pouring an energy shake down a funnel. Not true. This technology to artificially feed people indefinitely is relatively new. If removing nutritional life support is murder, why isn’t removing respiratory life support also?
