Your sources are incorrect. Things are far from white hot. The slowdown has been fast and furious and Inventories in April are where they normally are in the depths of summer. In Nassau, median sale prices are down about 3-5% from the summer peaks as per www.mlslirealtor.com. Fairly priced properties (a relative term) are still moving swiftly.
