2005-03-29 09:06 (New York)

By Heather Walsh
March 29 (Bloomberg) -- Chile, the world's biggest copper
supplier, said that its production of the metal declined 5
percent in February from a year earlier.
Production fell to 365,494 metric tons, the state-run
National Statistics Institute in Santiago said, without providing
the amount of output a year earlier. The Institute in February
2004 reported monthly copper output of 373,190 tons.
