I think that FEEDING tubes are appropriately categorized as "life support systems" just like ventilators.

I was just listening to a disability rights lawyer on the radio. She, herself, is disabled, and has difficulty swallowing. She says she knows a lot of people who use feeding tubes, and tell her that they wish they had started using them sooner, and that she probably will start using one herself.

She's extremely liberal, but her position about this case is the same as mine -- Terri Schiavo is being killed because she is extremely disabled. If she were not extremely disabled, what is being done to her would be classified as murder. The disability lawyer argues, and I agree, that this is, at least arguably, a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Just one more example of Terri Schiavo's lawyers not being tuned into winning arguments because they are liberal arguments. They didn't raise ADA violations in their motion for a TRO.
