The basic information they have looks pretty encouraging. I think that the option for a color screen is a must. Too few details are out to know how attractive the overal package will be or how competitively it will be priced. One of the toughest ingredients for this market is low price. Color LCDs have been the most expensive component in portable and other devices that are tied to the costly "Intel Inside" processor. There are some new display technologies that are or will soon be available that will drastically reduce the cost. A ~7" dosplay should be able to be gotten down but just how far down I don't know.

If the REBOCs and GETOCs were structured and thought more like McCaw Cellelular or Microsoft, they would put the commitments in place to make this product a huge success. Judging from their tract record dealing with new technology, the idiots will probably just let the opportunity go mostly unexploited.
