Okay Oli, for you: I apologize that you were under the mistaken impression that I was writing to "...someone who disagrees with [me] on a contentious point." It was written, in fact, not to someone who disagrees with me on a contentious point but to someone who very much "agrees" that I'm wonderful, as per his extraordinary amount of attention and worship of me.
And he is, indeed, an idiot, as anybody would be, who spent that much devotion towards me, my life, my work. Instead, most people just chat, swap stories, maybe do some business or not, but primarily just "hang out" for the rapport and camaraderie. I'm simply a regular cup-o'-joe kinda guy. That's all.
Sure, for you I should have prefaced that post with something like: "Note for Oli: you'll probably disagree with me on a contentious point..." but you know what? I'm pretty busy right now. Isn't there a lawyer with whom you can make an issue of this? |
