Sun stuff has always conformed to standards, yet been innovative in design. It has also generally been more reliable and easier to service than the "commodity" grade stuff produced by others. Just look at Sun's use of OBP and (on some machines) a lights-out console and compare to what, e.g., Dell does. Or compare the wiring and cooling systems in a Sun with those found in a PC. JMHO.
