Curlton: Lets assume that Westell won the BC contract. That would give them Bell Atlantic and Bell Canada... does Westell have the manufacturing capability to support both? If the answer is yes... how about 3 more contracts on the scale of BC? If they were just making ADSL modems, they may be able to support the volume. If Westell is going to be the leader in ADSL, they need additional manufacturing... or someone to make the modems.

Now if I was with Bell Atlantic or Bell Canada, would I announce an ADSL roll out in which only Westell modems would/COULD be used at the customer site... I certainly wouldn't if my job was on the line. I think the customers are asking Westell to make their solution interoperate with other vendors...... making their solution interoperate with COMS should give the service providers a certain level of comfort . COMS can produce a cheap, high quality, high volume product... this partnership would place alot of pressure on the other xDSL companies... until later.
