Carl, i don't think one has to wait for the 2nd step demutualisation to unlock value - some stocks have been going up 2x + between first and 2nd step, as is evident by the exchange rate for holder of "old" stock. BAC indeed looks like a decent value but so does C. I'd give C a slight edge over BAC because it is more diversified. Otherwise, valuation and dividend yields for both stocks are pretty similar.
