The following a list of Directors and Senior Officers:
Gail Gabel - Director and CEO
Ms. Gabel, age 50, founded G.S. Gabel & Associates, ESI's predecessor, in 1981. Ms. Gabel is currently a member of the B.C. Premier's Advisory Council on Science and Technology. She previously held the position of Vice-Chairman of the Science Council of B.C. and was a member of the Industrial Board of the National Research Council and the Board of Directors of the National Marine Council.
Paul Tutsch - Director
Mr. Tutsch is currently President of a private company, Corocon International Ltd., through which he carries on venture capital and private investment activities. Mr. Tutsch has been instrumental in structuring and arranging private financing for ESI. From 1992 to 1995 Mr. Tutsch was a member of the Corporate Finance Department of First Marathon Securities Ltd.
Tony Anderson - Director
Mr. Anderson is a Chartered Accountant and has invested in and contributed to the growth of several private companies in the last three years. From 1986 to 1994 he was Senior Vice-President / Executive Vice-President Finance at Spar Aerospace Ltd. Prior thereto he worked in the European operation of the Ford Motor Company.
Neil Huff - Director
Mr. Huff was President of Blue Star Battery Systems, a public company, from May 1995 to February 1997, and President of Ballard Battery Systems, a spin-off from Ballard Power, from 1992 to May 1995. Prior thereto he was General Manager of Autosystems Manufacturing Inc.
Danford Bodrug - Director
Since 1989 Mr. Bodrug has been President of Applied Microsystems Ltd., a Sydney, B.C. based company in the oceanographic instrumentation business. Prior thereto Mr. Bodrug was involved in the provision of private company financing and capital markets within the investment industry.
Michael Sly - Sales and Marketing Manager
Mr. Sly, age 42, has been with ESI since April 1995. From 1987 to 1990 he was Sales and Marketing Manager with Forensic Science Technology and from 1991 to 1995 operated his own wine importing business. Prior to 1991, Mr. Sly was involved in sales for the Xerox Corporation.
Gordon (Joe) Young - Product Manager and Senior Research Engineer
Mr. Young, age 52, has been with ESI since September 1993. He is a P.Eng. and completed his degree in 1968 at the University of British Columbia. Prior to joining ESI he was employed at Anderaa Instruments and operated as a consultant to the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Department of National Defence and numerous private clients.
