Too bad JohnM isn't around for this. He dislikes DeLay more than Rove.

Yep, genuinely too bad. And a hello to you, Bill. My life is getting, very slowly, in fact, ever so slowly, back under control. So I'm able to do a bit of posting here.

Politics just simply grabs your life away. The loss of control is amazing.

But matters have slowed down in the last six months or so and I've been able to get back to other projects. Have skimmed this thread off and on during that period but didn't want to post because it takes too much time to keep abreast of conversations. So this is simply to say hello.

As for DeLay, there's no doubt he has problems but just how serious is hard to say. Enough that the Dems can use him as they did Gingrich, to run against on the national level. But that's not new; just more of an advantage.

I suspect his most serious problems are with Ronnie Earle in Austin. Earle is tenacious; has a track record of going after both reps and dems so is hard to paint as "partisan," which, of course, hasn't stopped DeLay from trying to make it stick.

And, of course, DeLay's new fair weather friend, Paul Gigot, of the WSJ, is now a problem. That editorial was a stunner.

How's the bicycle/tricycle (I joke, badly) and the weather?
