I saw Ikuru recently. I had purchased it, because I remembered liking it several years ago- and it still is just as powerful. I don't know if you like classic films, or Japanese films, but when I think of death, or dying, and film, I think of Ikuru, Itami's The Funeral, God Said Ha (Amazing Julia Sweeney Monologue- produced by Tarantino), and Pieces of April- and then of course, for a real downer, Wit- probably one of the best performances on film I've ever seen.
