I didn't mean to be inflammatory, but I do think that the sequence of the following events was telling:

1) Rumors surfaced that Ramsey torpedoed a potential deal with Comcast on the grounds that TiVo is better off without it.

2) Ramsey steps down as CEO.

3) Comcast deal goes through.

He may not have been fired, but i would speculate that there were factions that disagreed with the strategic direction of the company.
