That flatness rattled me when I visited south Florida.

South Louisiana is as flat as Florida, so I was spooked when I moved to VA and had to drive through mountains, not that the Blue Ridge mountains are anything compared to the Rockies.

A friend of mine moved here from Nebraska, and is spooked by all the trees. They give her claustrophobia.

I feel the opposite way about the Great Plains. No trees as far as the eye can see. Freaky.

Just felt like saying something non-serious for a change.
