So what's your beef? You want the bit by bit drawdown to be done in secret, or something?

The gradual withdrawal of coalition troops, and their replacement by Iraqis, is the end game that most likely results in the second Iraq war being a resounding success! Coalition troops staying in Iraq in their current role is the signal that the second Iraq war may have been a complete disaster.

We should progress toward option 1 (leave, as Syria is doing in Lebanon), not option 2 (stay, as Israel is doing in the Palestinian geography).
