Don't forget Turkey(that shining example of Islamic democracy), 1 million Armenians killed back in the early 1900s and now it is against the law to speak or write about that event. There are at least 4 sides to the China-Taiwan issue, the Chinese(some of whom want Taiwan integrated into China in some form or another), the Taiwanese(some of whom want to be independent of China), and the Taiwan-Chinese(who want independence), and the Taiwan-Chinese(who want unification with China). Too complicated. Wonder what a referendum would show?
