I don't believe any of the stats I read about pre-school helping kids to do better long term. I do think it would be a great help for the non-English speakers to get "English immersion" in pre-school.

The truth seems to be that any advantage pre-school provides is gone by third grade. IE: testing at the level shows no difference between those that had it and those that didn't.
