Cyber Defense Facilities Readied for Full Production; Receives Sales Commitments, CyberBugs to Train Military and Law Enforcement User Groups in Surveillance and Intelligence Gathering
Business Wire - March 31, 2005 10:05

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Mar 31, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Cyber Defense Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: CYDF) announces that its current assembly facilities are being readied for full production as the Company begins filling its first CyberBug(TM) sales orders. Cyber Defense Systems, an operating subsidiary of Proxity, Inc. (Pink Sheets: PRXT) received sales commitments last week for three Cyber Bugs(TM), their low cost UAV developed for the individual user.

According to Cyber Defense Systems, Applied Technologies Corporation, the Company's new reseller in the mid-Atlantic region, purchased two CyberBugs(TM) which they will employ to train military and law enforcement user groups operating UAVs for surveillance and intelligence gathering. An un-named Government agency ordered one CyberBug(TM), as part of a prototype program to monitor areas of agency responsibility.

Barry Nelsen, Cyber Defense System's Vice President of Sales states, "Our sales team is getting the word out to the marketplace that we can produce CyberBugs(TM) and deliver them on schedule. As this message spreads, our marketing and sales plan should take hold and generate orders. Various organizations are asking deployment type questions as they envision the numerous ways to use the CyberBug(TM). The production team is concentrating on product quality. They have engaged Gardiner Composite of Miami, Florida to meet anticipated needs as we prepare for full production of up to a 100 units a month. The Company expects to kickoff a strong sales effort in May with the planned UAV demos and multinational trade show events. Once we get our UAVs out on the market where they can actually be seen and touched, the marketing and sales process becomes even more exciting and fruitful. Sales goals will soon be set for those involved in direct sales of the CyberBug(TM). We anticipate a busy facility."

The CyberBug(TM) is a scalable 2.6 to 12 pound unmanned aircraft, which can be deployed for total surveillance of an area. The CyberBug(TM) does not require extensive instruction, technical backup or pilot training. Capable of rapid deployment, it can be assembled and launched by an individual from remote areas in 30 seconds, and easily recovered in winds up to 20 MPH. The basic unit includes an autopilot, data link with GPS overlay, a day/night camera, and offers options that include Infra Red view. The CyberBug(TM) has two basic uses: short-term flights to operate surveillance in areas of concern using high powered day and night vision for dangerous situations, and long-term flights for the routine surveillance of patrol areas up to four hours. Suggested retail price starts at $8,500.
