If the computer programs were available when I started all of this so long ago, I probably would have put everything on computer. So I did them by hand....and spent all the time gathering info. But now, sometime this year, I want to get a good Family Tree program of some sort, and start organizing the info.
But here's some sites, just for a beginning. Everyone needs to have a Family Group Sheet for each family, and a Pedigree sheet for all of them, so that you can use these sheets for road maps....It truly becomes easier when things are written down, and you can see who the siblings were...Finally, you will begin to see where "Great Aunt Mattie" fit into the group....

Copy and Paste this Family Group Sheet into a Word Doc...Mine has lines, but this is a good one to type on if you don't have a Genealogy Program like Family Tree Maker...or Reunion, etc....
I don't have ANY of my "stuff" on computer as yet, and that is a goal for me in the next 5 years...
