What a pack of BS that is. Liberals have always stood up against tyranny much more than rightwingers. The rightwing has a long history of supplanting liberal democracies and replacing them with rightwing dictators. Your revisionist history is appalling. And to give Bush credit for democray in Afghanistan is also laughable. That invasion was supported by 98% of Americans, in both parties. Ralph Nader would have invaded Afghanistan at that point. Iraq is a democracy so far in name only. The outcome there is very very iffy. It has always been risky to grant democracy to an Islamic nation. Anyone with a brain can see the Shiites are the majority and are aligned more with Iran and Syria than the west.

The greatest champion of democracy in the US is Jimmy Carter, both during and especially after his term in office.
