Your 84% poll question is a bit flawed. I agree that Terri had the right to die, but there is little that happened in this case "legally" that I find agreeable.

If custody in this case couldn't be settled in court to the satisfaction of the parents, then where would you suggest they turn? Clearly, there is room for doubt when a spouse has moved on with life. If the law says differently, then it needs more work politically.

Show me a poll where 84% personally would take the option to die with "dignity" while starving to death. If that is the only option available, then it needs more work, again politically.
