CB...Was Eisenhower's authority questioned before he sent the ANG in or was it afterward? I'm certainly old enough to remember it happened, but probably having squirt gun fights outside was more important to me then.... So what did happen? I wonder how many attorney's worked on the situation for the Governor of FL???? I sure can't even imagine who would ever want to be Governor of that State....Seems there are always problems ....... You must be too young to remember when Eisenhower put the Arkansas National Guard under federal control and sent in the 101st Airborne to enforce Brown vs. Board of Education.
