I have written about Michael Doran before. The other NE Profs at Princeton couldn't fill a classroom, much less a lecture hall.

Of course, you don't know that.

Doran's case is an interesting one. I've liked the articles he published in Foreign Affairs but don't have any sense for his full resume. That could be his problem as much, and more likely more than, political/ideological differences. I can't find a resume via Google. There is a short blurb which appears on the Princeton website, that lists a book with Oxford University Press, certainly a good place to publish.

But he could easily be a border line case in which all sorts of other issues come into play. But not one in which it's black and white political.

A shame Tek's not still around. He knows him well and his work equally well and, of course, for personal reasons, knows a lot about the Princeton faculty. He would certainly have something to say here.
