KB, on the subject of divorce, I would suggest that your position is reasonable depending on the vow taken. If the vow (a promise) was made to stay together "unto death", then a divorce is a broken vow to that spouse and if done in a Christian context, to God. Since I happen to believe a man is as good as his word, I don't think much of people who break such vows to trade their wives in for newer models, regardless of justifications about lifespans. Some of us marry well in our youth, some of us marry poorly, but the ultimate test of our character is whether we keep our promises later on in life whether it's convenient or not to us.
