Well, I am sorry to hear about your sick dog. I slept about fifteen hours last night getting over sitting up with mine the night before vomiting.

I think people reach a point of ill health where they sense it's really too late to quit, and they are so addicted and anxious by all of their diseases that they use cigarettes to calm them down. And if you were following the discussion of smoking last week here, someone posted information that smoking actually causes anxiety disorders. So everything is reinforcing unhealthy behavior.
