It could also be one of the several steps before civil war. Anything is possible, and it won't be pretty. But even Jumblatt in Lebanon admits that Bush has changed the ME. It will never be the same. What has happened is that we have destablized the ME. It had to go though this for any progress to happen. It's really something to see the "flip" on this in our country. The liberals, who used to fight the conservatives for change in the world, are now fearful and fighting the conservative "Wilsonian" push.
