There are many instances in which feeding tubes are placed on a temporary basis.

On Dr. C's list this morning, they were kicking around the cases of people who have "Do Not Resuscitate" tattooed across their chests. All said that unless there were very strong evidence to the contrary, they would ignore the tattoo and perform resuscitation. - Holly
