Medal of Honor
(Seattle Times letter to the editor)

Better placement warranted

I am a student at the University of Washington, a member of the Army ROTC program and a recent returnee from Iraq. I was reading The Times and I came across the small article regarding the nation's most recent recipient of the Medal of Honor ("First Medal of Honor for Iraq war to be given," Times, News, March 30). I was wondering why it had been relegated to page A12 and not put in a place more appropriate to the nature and importance of the subject.

I figured that since it is the nation's highest honor, and the first to be awarded since the conflict in Somalia, that it would be important.
