One math teacher started having the kids write results on a white marker board and holding them over their heads. It got girls to engage in class more. Girls math score went up. With several techniques British results are showing more girls succeeding in math and science.

This is anecdotal evidence but recently, I had to take an exam required by the state of WA. All current and future teachers are required to take one in the area they plan to teach. In a classroom of 30 people, about half were taking the math endorsement. Of that, roughly 15 or 90% were women. I was surprised. However, its important to note that more women than men go into teaching so that, at least in part, may account for the disproportionate amount of women.
