Just because you are the most advanced society does not mean you are the kindest or the best. On the face of it the U.S. system is the best because you have the right to pursue you own happiness and have freedom from government and religion but every system will collapse under the weight of internal corruption, even yours... If a society of people wishes to believe in pots of gold, pixies and leprechauns that is their business. If you think a McDonalds on every street corner is progress that is your business.
